My contemporary artistic heroes are: Bruno Gentile (Hydropix) , Martin Deschambault, Raphael Lacoste, & Feng Zhu
I admire them not only in terms of the artwork they have created, but also a lot due to seeing them work (videos, tutorials…). I love how they have an intuitive approach and are focused on production speed and customer oriented mindset, so that the client can always walk in and get a feel of what’s being built. As a person + artist I really love how Iain McCaig thinks. Iain is also the one artist I’ve heard most loudly proclaim a vision very similar to mine in that it is so very easy to create evil/negative artwork, but it is my desire and goal to create artwork that (while still dealing with dramatic subjects) on a deeper level gives off positive constructive energy.
Oh, and of course I can’t not mention the one and only, one of a kind and fantastic Marshall Vandruff. His logic and view of things has me in awe every single time!
